World Teachers' Day

Today we celebrate and acknowledge our Grasslands teachers who have dedicated their lives to the noblest of professions - educating our children and youth!  On Oct. 5th, UNESCO's World Teachers’ Day is celebrated with the theme “Teachers At the Heart of Education Recovery."  At no time in our careers, can we better understand the significance Grasslands teachers are making to educate and inspire young people across our school division. This is a day that we celebrate and pay tribute to the noteworthy contributions teachers make to our society, both inside and outside the classroom.  Teachers, with support from our other amazing Grasslands staff and parents, have ensured education continues in all of our communities, despite major challenges. This unique time in our world has reinforced the significant role teachers play in the lives of children and students, their families, and communities.

Our board of trustees and central office are grateful for our remarkable teachers, substitute teachers, learning support teachers, coordinator and support services teachers, school administrators and central office teachers. We know teaching has been hard and demanding over the past 19 months - thank you so much for your perseverance and dedication!  We continue to be very proud that you are part of the Grasslands team.

Sincerely,

Board of Trustees and Central Office Staff
